With over 10 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Thompson is dedicated to nurturing young minds and laying the foundation for a life-long love of learning. As a kindergarten teacher, she focuses on helping students develop social skills, curiosity, and confidence, while fostering a warm and inclusive classroom environment. Mrs. Thompson holds a Bachelor's degree from Rasmussen University and is committed to ongoing professional development to ensure she brings the best practices to her teaching. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Thompson enjoys spending time with her family and helping others, which enriches her work as an educator and community member. Her goal is to inspire every child to reach their fullest potential, both academically and personally, while making their first school experience a positive and memorable one.
Mrs. Prisco has been teaching for 8 years. She was born in New York, but grew up in South Florida. Despite living in Wakulla County for almost 5 years now, she still feels like she is new to the area. She loves to read and be at home with her family. Mrs. Prisco is looking forward to picking back up with another school year.

Ms. Howell has a passion for teaching and is dedicated to creating a positive learning environment. She has been in education for 15 years and is loving the 2nd grade vibes. She has a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies Education and a Master's in Business. She is currently working on her Ph.D. When she is not teaching, she likes to workout and coupon.

Ms. Timmons is a Wakulla native of 37 years. This will be her 5th year here at COAST. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is a mom of 3 handsome kings: Kenyn, Kamari, and Markion. Ms. Timmons also has one fur baby girl named Angel. She enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time with family. In her spare time, she is a dedicated sports mom that loves being able to support and cheer her boys on!
Mrs. Land joined COAST in the middle of the 24/25 school year and is making the transition from first to fourth grade this year. She is a Wakulla County native and still lives right here with her husband and 8 year old son. She also has a 23 year old daughter who graduated from UCF and lives in Tallahassee. Mrs. Land received her Bachelor's from FSU, later also receiving a Master's in Business Administration. She has coached youth soccer for 10+ years in both Leon and Wakulla counties. She has volunteered with various nonprofits and created a scholarship program for girls seeking to pursue higher education. Mrs. Land is passionate about helping young people discover their God-given gifts and talents. She loves history, current events, painting, hummingbirds. coffee, and America. She looks forward to sponsoring the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in the upcoming school year.

Ms. Harrington is a mom of 3 girls. Her oldest is 22 and her youngest are 10 year old twins. She has lived in Florida since 1998 and graduated from Lincoln High School. She has taught at COAST since 2017. Ms. Harrington has an AS in Early Childhood Education from TCC (now TSC) and a BS in Elementary Education from Flagler College. She recently earned her State of Florida Civics certification. A few fun things about her: she collects Pokemon cards, enjoys trivia nights, and goes to indy wrestling shows with her boyfriend.

Ms. McKenzie is a mother of 3 wonderful young ladies and fosters 3 more. She grew up in Wakulla County, attending Wakulla County schools until she received her high school diploma. She went on to attend TCC (now TSC) before transferring to FSU to get her Bachelor's in Applied Economics. Ms. McKenzie has always wanted to be a teacher since she was a little girl and is honored to have become a part of the best school around, COAST Charter! She loves helping others and exploring nature, while fostering her love of animals. Her free time is commonly spent spring-hopping throughout Florida or traveling to the Blue Ridge Mountains to catch their amazing sunsets.
Ms. Gerrell is a Wakulla County native. Her family is originally from St. Marks but has spread throughout not only North Florida, but across the country. Ironically enough, her father, uncle, grandmother and great-uncle all attended the original St. Marks school in the very building COAST uses. Ms. Gerrell graduated from Wakulla High School and later from FSU with a BA in Creative Writing and a minor in Film Studies. Teaching was not her original career path, but after working at COAST as a bookkeeper and substitute while attending FSU, that career path changed. Ms. Gerrell became certified as a highly-qualified Elementary Education teacher and began teaching in 2009. She also received additional certification in Middle Grades Integrated (all MS subjects), 5-9 Math and received her K-12 Reading Endorsement. She has taught all 16 years of her teaching career at COAST and is looking forward to another year here. Ms. Gerrell loves spending time with her family on the river or in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina and Georgia. She is an avid reader, loves all things horses and wishes every day felt like fall or winter. When she is not at school, she is either reading or carting her nephews around to sports or to get the occasional ice cream when they give her that look.
Ms. Harrison has been teaching for 11 years and is looking forward to meeting all the families of COAST this school year. She is excited about starting this school year and developing strong relationships with students and parents to support student learning. Her teaching philosophy is that students learn through experience. She believes that students must see where learning can be applied in the real world in order to give value and purpose to their lessons. Ms. Harrison also feels strongly about developing relationships based on inclusivity and mutual respect. Ms. Harrison is passionate about travel and learning about diverse cultures, traditions and people. She believes that being life-long learners is important to developing an appreciation for others. Ms. Harrison loves to bring all of her traveling experiences into the classroom to enrich her lessons.

Mrs. Epperson, a.k.a Mrs. Kat, is our school counselor. She earned her Master’s degree in School Counseling from Liberty University. She is a licensed professional school counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting students’ success. Mrs. Kat is fervent about empowering student growth academically, socially, and emotionally. She offers individual and group counseling, classroom psycho-educational lessons, and collaborates with families and staff to foster a positive school climate. On a personal note, Mrs. Kat loves sharing experiences and making memories with her husband and two daughters, and also loves theatre.
Mr. Hawkes is an art educator originally from Jacksonville, Florida. He holds a degree in Studio Art with a minor in Art History from FSU. His teaching experience includes K-8 art education, private drawing classes for high school students, and art instruction for adults with special needs. In addition to teaching, Mr. Hawkes is an active artist who exhibits his work in local galleries and has professional experience as an illustrator, graphic designer, and video editor. He believes that art-making is a powerful tool for students to develop technical skills, regulate emotions through problem-solving, collaborate socially, and express creativity through thoughtful planning and follow-through.
